About College

"The highest education is that which does not merely give us information but makes our life in harmony with all existence." - Rabindranath Tagore

The success of a society, its culture, and its literature hinges on a glorious past. Shri Bhawani Niketan Educational Institution boasts a proud history originating in 1942 when Late Maharajadhiraj Lieutenant General Sir Sawai Mansingh Ji Bahadur II GCIE laid the foundation of educational upliftment for the Rajput society. He was a visionary who focused on the holistic development of the youth. To steer the society in the right direction and nurture the moral and intellectual growth of children, a vast 310.54 acre land was allocated for the educational progress of the Rajput community. The beacon of education lit by Maharajadhiraj continues to shine brightly, illuminating its surroundings with full intensity.

Established in 1990-91, Shri Bhawani Niketan Mahila PG. Mahavidyalaya stands as a vital unit of this institution today. With the support of former Educational Minister Smt. Sumitra Singh, the college commenced its journey offering programs in Arts and Commerce with an initial cohort of just 35 female students. Situated near Dher ke Balaji railway station under thatched roofs and tin roofs, the college has now marked 25 years of operation, boasting a significant growth. Presently, the institution accommodates over 4000 students pursuing undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in Arts, Commerce, Science and Home Science fields. Postgraduate programs in Political Science, Geography, Public Administration, English Literature, Sanskrit Literature, Psychology, Business Administration, Zoology, and Chemistry are also available at the college.

The college introduced the Science stream in the academic year 2006-07 followed by the Faculty of Home Science in 2008-09. The institution boasts an impressive average result of approximately 95 percent and maintains a strong focus on fostering the overall development of female students. Renowned for instilling discipline among its students, the college has carved out a unique identity for itself. In alignment with this ethos, a student counseling center has been set up at the college. Through a partnership with the University Grants Commission, female students are being prepared for a remedial course in 'Office Management and Secretarial Practice'. Presently, the college occupies a spacious and magnificent building featuring state-of-the-art laboratories, a well-stocked library, and a sports ground. The college offers education to its female students in a serene, clean, and pollution-free natural environment.

The students of the college have received laurels in the field of NSS, NCC, Scouts, Sports and Academics. Former college student K. Deepika Rathore a has set a record by conquering Everest.
